1.  How did your momma or daddy come up with your name? 

Momma picked Finley cuz it’s Scottish in origin like me and means white warrior… and I’s white and a westie so’s I fierce!

2.  Would you rather kill a mousie or a birdie?  Why? 

A mousie, well, a rat—even better a squirrel cuz they taunts me—two quick shakes and they’re done fur….

3.  What are your favoritest snack to have?  

I likes bacon and bits of turkey or steak or whutevfur meatz da hoomans is eatin’…

Nope, I can’t cuz you is already cuttin’ into my supply!!

Da wurst wuz da time me and Whit got into it ovfur seein’ da pitbulls.. I don’t like to think ‘bout dat. So…. Hmmm…. When I wuz lil, I usta steal panties from the laundry and chew holes in da crotches… don’t know why…. And I chewed on some nice wood furniture when I wuz teethin’….

In my Momma’s lap. And if she’s bizee, your Momma’s lap. I also steal Dad’s place in da big bed once he gets up in da mornin’…

Hmm… get Jezebel to snag a babyback rib and bring it down to the floor to share with ya! Or just a quick grab when no one is lookin’….

 Lots of ‘em!

Hmmm… coldest wuz dat Boston place when Whitley lived dere…. But I thinks ya means cool as in fun… so I’d have to say da beach in Malibu or Florida or da Pooch Parade in San Antonio… they lines da streets with doggie treatz—it was like heaven on Earth!

10.  Do ya ever try to attack things that your momma or daddy say are "not there" or are I do only one who has a momma who cannot see dat I are defending her from important shadows?

Sumtimes I hears thangs they don’t hear. But all those shadows??? I thinks that is cuz they mis-wired yer brain by playin’ with ya with a laser toy in foster care, Travis…

WOE IS ME, I'S GOT SOME FOOD ALLERGEES....

Well, da gud news is dat I'm not allegick to any meatz. Yea for me! Da bad news is I's allergic to corn, white potatoes, eggs and alfalfa (I ain't a guinea pig or a horse so alfalfa is no biggie). I's been on grain free food fur some time, so da corn ain't a big factor-- just means I won't never get no corn chips or an occasional Cap'n Crunch piece...no taters, evfur, no tater chip, no mashed taters, no left over french fries... and worst of all, NO EGGIE WEGGIES! No lickin' da egg plates, nope, nuthin' no more...

Dat sux. Sigh.....

 Some other things I tested allergick to years ago I didn't test allergick to dis time... guess da allergee shots musta worked on those thangs... but I'm allergick to some new stuff, like da maple tree next door dat da naybor don't rake da leaves and dey blow inta my yard...grrrr.... So Dr. Sean is gonna get me my sublingual goo to take under my tongue to take da place of da allergee shots... so's I won't be a pincushion no more. Hope dis stuff works.

Black and White Sunday

Hopefurly, we will gets us some good walkies today... da hoomans were too "bizee" yesterday, whatevfur dat means... I think it means dat Momma went to da hairdresser man to get all her white roots hidden.... whut's wrong wid white hairs?

Monday, Monday

Well, it are Monday, and dis Monday is better than da last one, since it was in da mid 70s here and sunny today.  Me and Whitley gots us a walk today, and it were fun to be out sniffin' and walkin' in da breeze... we saw skwirrels to barks at and try to chase, and Whitley, of course, barked at ev'rythin'... dat's just what she duz...bol!

I's been gettin' waterboarded ev'ry day to try to help my itchies... I don't know how much it helps, but I's da cleanest dog around, dat's fur sure. I's so clean, I squeak. Ackchooally, I only squeaks for about da furst block on our walkies... once I'm past da dog's house on da corner, I quits doin' dat...

Today I had to go to da vet so's dey could go all vampire on me and take sum of my blood... here I's on zombie squad dooty 'round da house, and now I's has to guard against vampires at da vets!! A pup's werk is nevfur dun. Dey's gonna run allergy tests on my blood-- testin' for ovfur 90 things I's could be allergic to... sure hope it ain't any of my favorite foods... Here's a photo of me Whit's Momma took of me... think I needed a brushin' or sumthin...I looks like I has "bedhead", bol!!

SEPIA SATURDAY

I's catching a snooze usin' a borrowed Teddy Bear as a pillow... worked purdy good...

It were a purdy borin' week.... real cold so da peeples didn't wanna walk us... today we gots a walk, finally! We gots a lil bit of snow, but it weren't enuff to snow plow in or nuthin'.. it were enuff to release da snow zombies so we had to be evfur vigilant against dem in addishun to da usual skwirrel zombies, bird zombies, etc... I lets Whitley do most of da barkin' while I duz most of da starin'-- Momma thinkz I iz starin' off into space and tellz me to hurry up wid da yard art... but I is on da lookout fur varmints, critters, and various invadin' zombies... it aren't my fault she can't see 'em... yeesh.

Maurice da cat (he belongs to Momma's youngest daughter, Ally) has got his blog up and going... if y'all could stop by and give him a howdy that would be real nice...

Throwback Thursday

Vet Results and other news...

Well, my vetman, Dr. Sean, called today. No mange or nuthin' like that, but they found some back-tear-eeal growth in my hair follicles-- couldn't get it to culture but da vetman thinks it are probably some kinda staph (at furst I thought Momma said staff and I thought maybe I was gettin' a new secrementary or sumthin')... so I's on Auntie Bioticks for a couple of weeks or years or sumthin', a cream to put on my skin after baths, and da wurst thang of all.... DAILY BATHS after my stitches come out in a couple of days... yikes, waterboardin' ev'ry day in da Winter... dat's da wurst!! Dey's also lookin' into switchin' me from shots to takin' da al-er-gee stuffs under my tongue..sub-ling-y'all...

Here's a photo of me and Whitley... my head is on her heinie... back then, I weren't as itchy as I is now... Momma hopes that I can get more comfy with the new treatment, I hopes so, too...

My Momma's momma fell and broke her hip on Saturday... she had surgery on Sunday and so far, so good.. any prayers you can spare for her to have a quick recovery is appreciamatated..

At least this last week Momma finally got all the holiday stuff put away... I wuz startin' to wonder if she evfur would.. dat flu she got on Christmas really put her behind..

In other weird newz... any of you pups have a cat that can baa like a sheep?? Travis da cat tried dat da other day and Maurice has tried barkin'... I think we has da oddest kitties around these parts, maybe it's sumthin' in the Texas water???... bol!!
