Brinley's First Birthday!!!

Hey, evfurryone! Finley, here. Guess ya heard we's been havin' a birthdaypalooza 'round these parts. Furst it wuz Kinley's birthday on Sunday, den on Twosday it were Brinley's... Maybe havin' dese young 'uns round here has sum perks, after all...

Guess I'll be nice and let Brinley take ovfur frum here...

Brinley, here... I had a gud furst birthday... da day started out with bacon and eggie weggie fur my breakfast... and I gots to go out in da backyard and play in da flowers and sunshine.

Fur dinner we pups got mini cheezburgers and peanut butter pupcakes fur dessert. 

And presents!! I gots lotsa new toys... I really liked tearin' into da paper.... but my Momma would tell ya I's a four-legged paper shredder. Although she duzn't always like it when I shreds stuff.... like dress pattern pieces. Oops. But it are okay, she taped it back together and drew a new one... bol, bol!!!

Kinley's Momma made me 3 new dresses... hey, Momma, where's da dresses you were supposed to make? And none of dem excooses 'bout da pool bein' worked on, okay???

Wednesday me and Kinley headed back to da groomer's.... I's not too fond of gittin' groomed. Last time we had to stay overnight... dis time it wuz only a coupla hours. 

We do look real spiffy now.... thanks, Matias, evfun if ya duz like Kinley best.  Maybe dat's cuz she don't scratch at him when he washes her face.

Today we got backyard time and a walk dis afternoon... dat beats gittin' yer hair pulled out any day. 

What do you guys think?? Should I be nicer to my groomer, Matt? 

Hmmm... I'll think about it.

FLOWERS FOR DORY

Yikes! It shure has been a long time since my Momma posted fur me and junior... She would give some lame exkoose bout gittin' da pool remodeled or sum such thang, but dey is just exkooses fur her laziness if ya asks me!

We wuz so sad to hear 'bout Miss Dory goin' to da Rainbow Bridge. Dory wuz a fashionista like Whit and da rest of us pups here... and she luved da flowers. So since Kinley got da bluebonnets covered (well, except fur a pic of me, I wuz havin' an itchy episode and stayed home), we thought we'd post some pics from 'round our place (and I's insistin' on a bluebonnet pic of me frum last year!)

I thinks that wonky ear of mine has come back up some... Mom sez it's like I's a lizard er sumthin', my uncanny ability to regenerate myself.

And since Brinley wuz whinin' at me dat she didn't git a solo shot ovfur on Kinley's blog, here's one of da brat....

Come fly wiff me, Sammy...

Today I, Finley,  is doin' a post fur Sammy da kitty cat (if ya knows me, ya knows I luvs da kitties), from da blog, One Spoiled Cat... I guess Brinley can come along, too, but she hasn't been to da Hill Country in da Springtime so's she's gonna have to be quiet and lissen up so she learns sumthin'... (I mean, I tries wiff dese 2 pups, I tries, but.... well, dey still hasn't mastered scruffin'... whut can ya say??)

Now I realize dat dese photos is of Texas in da Springytimes... but dat is da purdiest time of year here, and evfurrybuddy needs sum cheerin' up dis week, wiff Sammy & Easy goin' to da Rainbow Bridge, so dat's whut I chose fur Sammy to visit....

Furst, let's start by headin' ovfur to Muleshoe Bend Recreational area....

Look close, Sammy, bluebonnets can come in diffurent colors....

Then, let's head on up to near Llano, they can git sum really purdy flowers there, includin' Indian paintbrush....

Next, let's head on ovfur to Willow City Loop near Fredericksburg....

Looks like sum cowboys done lost der boots..... bol, bol!!

And some showy evening primrose or buttercups as Momma called 'em growing up...

Hope ya enjoyed da tour of Texas in da Springtime, Sammy... I heard dat ya is in da Bacon Suite...if ya is, you is bound to run into Charlie Cat... he wuz da furst bacon lover round here... say him to him fur all of us, we misses dat orange dude...

And I gots a purrsonal request of ya, Sammy... see, my BFF, Whitley went to da Rainbow Bridge in May.... I still misses her tons. So can ya stop by da pool and see if she it playin' pool ball? Or if she ain't dere, she would probably be in da Bluebonnet Suite... she loved da bluebonnets... tell her I says howdy..... 

Hope ya enjoyed da flowers, Sammy, and dat seein' all dis purdiness cheered a few folks up.... Blogville has been kind of sad dis year, we's lost some good furiends.... safe journey, Sammy....
